Ok, so monday Xfce 4.4 beta2 was released upstream.

The switch is already done in our svn repository, and I have built packages for sid/ppc and sid/i386, which are available at my repository, as always. Remember my repository contains highly experimental stuff, and I can break it anytime, so be careful and don't let it in your sources.list between updates, because I'll break it everytime I need it. Wait for me to announce it's ok before trying to install some new stuff from there (and even then you can expect breakage).

So, if you wanna try, go and grab it. I've successfully managed to upgrade from 4.4B1 a ppc and an i386. Don't even think about reporting bug on debian BTS. You're on your own on this, but if you find problems report them to #debian-xfce@irc.freenode.net.

There was a soname bump in libxfce4util (libxfce4util2 -> libxfce4util4) so this package will have to go trough NEW before entering the archive. We'll start by uploading it to experimental, then upload everything to unstable. List of upgraded packages is available here.
